Need songs for school dance. Help.

So my buddy and I got our first dj gig for a dance at our school and we need songs that are good to grind to. I don't really listen to this mainstream shit so it would be great if you guys input your favorites that come on during dances.

Also if anyone knows about speakers, what ones should we get? We want them for a cheap price but preform good, and we dont want the ones with amps built in. The crowd will be around 700 people.

If it isn't mainstream, don't play it. It won't go over well and everyone will just hop off the dance floor.
Play anything in the top 40 with a good beat. My homecoming only had about 2-3 slowjams and for the most part, they would play 2/3 of a song and then blend it into a new one. aka seamless song changes. Also, for the first half hour or so, they just played a local mainstream hiphop station for the first halfhour or so while everyone is just coming in, standing around the outside, finding their friends and noone is really dancing. After the dancing is ready to be started, play club can't handle me - flo rida. That will get everyone in there. I was listening to them talk about it working so well at getting people to get on the dance floor on the radio today and I'll agree that it'll work.

I wish people would love ghosts n stuff as much as I do.. Best song to dance to IMO, I don't know about grinding..

dubstep is pretty good at dances. My school just had a dance where it was completely dubstep and electronic, and it went over really well.
