$1 billion

27 stories high, swimming pools, helicopter pads, 50-seat cinema... this dudes crazy.

im pretty republican but dude.... dont you think that money could have gone to better the world somehow? or build a mulit-million dollar house and been fine. its him and his wife and two kids. it has a staff of 600 ppl and the electricity cost him around $200,000 per month.

Also, who are you to say what he does with his money he earned? He made that money, you did not therefore you have zero input on how he spends it...do you know how much money he probably donated already?

He is employing 600 ppl, much more helpful than just throwing money at a charity

Reading comprehension these days.....  Yes it's extravagant, but he is getting a 15x return on his initial cost of $44 million (as mentioned before). Still pretty ridiculous, and I wonder who would buy it for $1 billion. Either way, India's whole caste system is fucked, I can't believe this whole "untouchables" thing is still tolerated in a modern country. From what my dad told me about their country, the rich totally disregard the fact that the slums are inhumane and frankly disgusting. He told me that on a tour for a business trip they went by a slum and the guide said it was a beautiful country. The cab driver then proceded to take a dump on the side of the road (in the middle of a populated area) and didn't even wipe.

India still has beautiful places and people, but it pisses me off that they develop soo much technology yet overlook the quality of life for many of their citizens. The disparity between the rich and the poor is much much greater than most other countries.

ooooo a lap pool and a movie theater in your house, yeah that doesnt get boring after a few weeks

if i had that much money id be constantly doing so much fun shit, i wouldnt even be at home unless it was at the base of a hill

and for spending a billion dollars, 600 jobs isn't that many. also, its really not that great of an investment, but if you can afford that then it really doesn't matter what you do with your money.
