Parents & Christmas??

So i got my first job this summer and its still going good...and christmas is right around the corner and i want to buy my parents a gift but am unsure what to buy them.  i would like to spend 100 and under and 1 gift for the both of them?

Any ideas?

I always used to buy my Dad a good book and/or a ship/car model because he was really into the kind of stuff. As for my Mom, I always get her a nice skirt/blouse, and occasionally some new cooking or plant stuff because that's what she likes. Just look at what your parents enjoy doing, and base your gifts around that. Parents are probably the easiest people to please, because they just care that you care.

Since you're trying to buy one thing for both. You can get a gift card to a restaurant from one of those save 30 places. Some places will do their own discount gift cards.(Example: buy a $50 card for $35) Bottle of wine if they drink.

It kind of matters what your parents like.

really depends on your parents. some dads are happy with a bottle of wine, and some moms are happy with a vacuum. however. if i got my mom a vacuum she'd probably disown me. do you parents really need something in the house? new dishes? towels? something like that? would they like to receive these gifts, or should you be more personal? i like personal gifts a lot more. i know one year my dad needed a jacket and my mom needed a new comforter kinda thing. necklaces, watches. dunno dude.

im getting my mom a new laptop because her computer is like 6 years old and even though i know people have it for longer than that it is full and really slow... the new laptops have bigger hard drives and way faster.

Since its a joint gift get them a nice piece of art or some other feature for your living room or somewhere else in your house. Or something usable that can be enjoyed by everyone

ex. i got my dad a chiminea last year for his Bday, but that obviously wont work for christmas

parents (well.. at least my parents) don't really go out much, especially not on dates. your parents would probably appreciate it if you gave them the chance to drop everything at home and go out on their own.
$100 will probably get you two tickets to something they are into.. concert/event or something. look online and see if there is anything they are into happening in your city. if they don't really do activities together, you can always just get them a gift certificate to a restaurant or something.

don't just give them cash and say "have fun.." they will appreciate it if you put the thought into something cool for them :)

I always found it nice to get my parents a coffee maker, and a few nice coffee mugs.  I also believe its a nice gift to get them a gift card for a local movie theater.

my mom and i bought my dad a D2x last christmas, and i helped my dad pick out my mom another diamond ring with her birth stones incorporated within it and a matching bracelet. always best to go in on a gift with parents, very little spending limit haha

well it depends what they like. my dad really likes wine so me and my brother always get him a niice bottle of wine, and we usually buy my mom some next decorative pice of furniture or something. but when my parents were still together we used to just pay for a night that they could spend together, like a gift card at a restaurant or for some activity that they both love doing

i already bought my dad a shop vac at home depot
and i will probably get my mom a 75-100 dollar gift certificate to a nice restaurant in the district.

Still havent been able to think of anything my parents dont ski real chill but very strict dont go out by themselvs alot and my mom dosent drink anything that taste like liquer so i have to rule out liquer.......i really want to get them something creative so im trying to rule out gift cards, and money

books, bottle of wine, cds, mp3 player with music they like if they haven't joined the 21st century yet, sweaters, scarves, if they have a favourite candy from a specific place or something. some ideas.
