Theres one from a few years back where jon mcmurray wrote a letter. and also brad holmes was listing people who droped out of school and he listed tom cruis. I however am a super detective and my grandmother was tom cruises guidence counseler in high school and he did graduate! aha! I found a flaw in the system!!!

On either the first or the second, on the cover was one of the editors doing a lincoln loop in the backcountry. There was an article about a big air and pipe comp in Europe. JP auclair and Cusson won it with 360 grabs and 720's but a young upstart frenchman named Candide Thovex wowed the crowd with a backflip 180 (ala flair). later in the pipe comp Thovex was amazing again throwing 'rodeos' in the pipe back to back and launching mute grabs way off the deck. and I think there was an article about jonny mosely in there somewhere too. not sure

The best early issue is the one about the New Canadian Airforce. I still have it; read it a couple weeks ago again.

^yeah that one was sweet, wasn't that the same one with the 'house of grabs' section that explained all the newschool grabs? On that note whatever happened to the huntony, no one throws those anymore

my first issue had a brad holmes parody magazine cover called 'holmez' and all the headlines were like 'short skis still suck!' and 'snowlerblader drowns in 2' of powder'. haha that issue kicked ass. freeze owns.

ahhhh, the first one is the only issue i dont have. i remember the second one tho, with the non-buyers guide. freeze was way ghetto back then.
and midwest_rep, the new canadian airforce didnt show up in freeze until i think their third season. the old ones were all about morrison, cummings, brant moles, nobis, and the other big mountain pimps.

I was a SKIING mag subscriber back then, saw the targeted demographic (15-25?) and thought it was a mag for kids. Im now 23 and look forward to the day it comes in the mail.

first issue had seth on the cover, the trick of the month i think might have been called stunt of the month... it was Chris Ostness doin some sort of screamin seamon grab... wasnt the genie.
I actually remember when and where i bought it... Beckers not far from my house, went there again after school and got a buddy of mine to buy one too.

the first issue ever featured 'the dirty dozen' which was basically an article about the big mountian guys (seth shane dean kreitler swanwick moles, and a few others that you youngsters have probably never heard of) and the stunt of the month was ostness doing a screemin seaman mute grab. fall of my junior year of high school. i bought it at my local grocery store. i remeber it well...
