How do i make an echo effect with motion ?

hello,
i search bar didnt find anything.
i d like to create an echo effect on a shot of a skier sliding a rail, but i only found tutorials to do this with AE and i only have motion that comes with fcp
my question is :
can i do this with motion, and if so where can i find a tutorial ?

one way to manually do it is copy the clip and layer it over itself (skewed on the timeline to delay as you wish) with however many echos you want. Change the opacity of those clips to 1/however many clips you have.
For example if you have 4 echos, thats 5 clips including the original. 20% opacity (if you leave the orig at 100% I suppose you can use whatever opacity you want with the echos)
the timeline will look like so:

________
________
________
____________________
the bottom being the orig clip and the above layers being the echo instances.
I haven't done any film editing in a while, but this is how I have done it with flash animation, should be the same concept. (it will look 10 fold better if you have a stationary camera angle with only the subject moving)
Someone may have an easier way with your program, this is how its done from scratch.

my camera is moving so it might look a ltittle bit weird.
