Anyone know of a good pair of padded shorts that are decently priced? I found a few that looked pretty good, just wondering if anyone has a specific pair in mind that is comfortable and doesn't restrict you at all.
I have protec ones, no complaints. I wear them on icy days when landings can be literally frozen rock solid. Sliding out onto bruised hips isn't any fun.
SUPER steep urban down flat down. Caught my edge on the down and fell about 10 feet to the flat right on my hip. I threw up in hurt so bad and then started going into shock right away. Unfortunately I started doing park again before it fully healed (actually ended up taking a year to fully heal) and hit it again on and up flat up. Also threw up and went into shock that time. So yeah, hip pads are where it's at.
Yeah. I will never do another one that big/steep again, it's just not worth how bad that shit fucked me up. I had previously broken that side of my pelvis which could have made it worse... but still. Serious permanent scar tissue in my side and it killed the nerves so some spots are numb/tingly or sore all the time.
I have compression shorts with built in pads for football, so sometimes I wear them if my hips are already messed up and I don't want falls to hurt the bruises
