I really disagree with you here. this thread is nothing at all like debating what kind of clothes people should wear ( which I agree is pretty trivial ). This thread is all about skill level to me. Specifically how a skiers skill level makes him/her more enjoyable to watch ski.
It is the same concept in any action sport. If I am watching a skateboarder do a street line I want to see him bomb a hill and do a bad-ass power slide inbetween features, not put his foot down to break or something like that. If I'm watching a skier in the park I would love to a see a kid nollie off a roller, land switch, carve a turn into a sw 270 on, and stomp while carving a turn away.
Bottom line for me.....Its all about having the skill to do your trick at multiple speed levels and body positions, you don't want to always throw in that unconsious snowplow in order to put you in that exact same comfort zone each time.
