I have a panasonic tm700 and i was hoping to film a bunch with it this winter, but when i took it up skiing it wouldn't work, the screen would be black, even the lens cap off, and sometimes it wouldn't even turn on. i assume this is because it got too cold, because it worked fine later that day indoors. anyone have any solutions for this? or possible ways to keep your camera warm?
uh, i have the panasonic hdtm20 and it does fine in the cold, the only thing i have noticed is that on flat days it takes a split second longer to focus when its really cold and the battery time gets shortened by about 10 percent.
this used to happen to me when I go i keep my camera in a backpack when not using it (lift, line, etc.) put some hand warmers in it, it might cause a bit of a fog problem pulling it out but just wipe it off and you should be fine.
