so above base II there is some heavy machinery digging a pipe and they are about 70% done. i noticed it yesterday for the first time.

anyone know anything about it?

isnt base II at like 2,800 feet? why the hell would they build a pipe there? it would be all melty and shit

digging an IN GROUND pipe requires digging a hole in the ground. have fun with your new jib-o-rific stunt ditch once it's covered in snow, in the winter.

I believe this is the site of the new (other) super pipe. I heard it will be night lit. It'll be sweet having a freshly groomed pipe to ride in the late afternoon and evening. Should make for some cool photo ops to.

i heard that they are still keeping the pipe at the bottom of the park and this will just be the night pipe as well whistler is hosting the world snowboarding champiomnships or something like taht so they wanted to build a pipe lower for that comp so that more people will come to watch.... i think it will also be for the olympics

that sounds pretty damn sick, but i think the olympic pipe is gonna be at cypress so its even easier for spectators, plus it'd be sweet with downtown in the background.

ya we are all soo stolked up here in whistler the pipe will be open everynight form 4pm until 10 pm. lets just pray that the japenese don't try to live in there or we will have to get nasty on there ass's

Whistler's new night pipe. Lights, fun, dug inground. Should be sick when combined with that night moves rail 'park'. I can't wait.

The pipe will be open in conjunction with night moves. So, basically weekends and Christmas Break, at night.
