Approaching a wall ride and hitting it

Scares the shit out of me. But I would like to hit one, I just am wondering if there are any things I should keep in mind the first time I hit one.

just send it. It's awkward for sure, but only way to get a feel for it is trying it. You can start going slow then just go faster and faster till your hitting it how you want.

he's right^, just go for it, but you dont have to blast into it first time. come in with more speed than you think you need the first time though, you definitely cut more speed going up the wall than you think. just keep hitting it and adding more speed each time as you get comfortable on it

also just a note- i sort of feel more comfortable hitting a wallride as if i'm lipsliding it.. first time i hit a big legit wall ride (loon's orange one) those were the two things i learned, bring more speed than i think i need in, and hit it from the left first cause it felt more natural to me for some reason

it will feel awkward and stuff but just send it and you should be fine dude... oh and if you are wearing tall tees you will automatically land it

flex your abs and pop, getting your feet between you and the coping. that's really all that matters in the first second of it, and will ensure that you don't wallride with your face

the first time you try it make sure you hit it straight on and hop a little 180 at the top, but once you hit it a couple times you will get a feel for it and you can try some stuff.
