Hi!
So, which one would you pick or which one is the better one for me. I spend like 75% of my time skiing in the park and like 25% in the "pow". i'm 176cm tall and my weight is 163lbs.
Thankful for answers!

I would say salomon 2012 just because it is wider and has more rocker

peak 12 and peak 15 by tyrolia are very good bindings. They are the same as the head mojo bindings and i think the same as the 4frnt deadbolts. the only more bombproof bind out there would be the fks by rossignol or the pivot by look(same thing)

Which one of these two bindings have better durability and which one is better overall: Salomon STH14 or Look Pivot 14(sorry for some OT!)

I think that STH 14 driver is a better choice than STH 14.

Ok thanks! do you think that this setup will be a good choice: Salomon 2012 179cm with Look Pivot 14 bindings?

Look pivot 14 has been reccomended from very many persons. I cant say which one of them you will like best but i think you will like both! :) I'd choose Look pivot 14 or STH 14 driver (not STH 14).

I hate to be the one that causes contreversy but I have heard many durability issues with soloman but I have no personal experience, armada is known for being bomb prroof and for being over all awesome skis I Am just saying you might want to reconsidder the other thing that you can do is go to a local shop and talk to someone there before you make a final decision

alpha 1s are the sickest skis out there, u can get them 182 because of the elfshoe, and if i were you id grab marker jesters and throw em on there. just my opinion

salomon's durability has been hit or miss for the past few years. I have never had a problem personally with them and they are being made in a new factory this year not china so that could help durability.

but how good does the alpha perform in powder?

Probably not too good considering it's 83mm underfoot.

I don't think that they will be ideal but in my opinion armada is just a better ski and I don't trust soloman but again the best thing that you can do is go to a shop and talk to someone there

If you still need help. I have 2012's and they are awsome!!!! I am your height and have 179s and i love them. The main problems with durability salmon has had have been on the suspects and the problem was the edge armor which isn't on the 2012s. They are a nice flex and mine seem pretty solid. Buy up for sure. I have mine with jesters and they slay. Id recommend it fo sure.

so do you mean that the 2012:s edges wont break as easily as he suspects edges?

True. The 2012s edges are much more durable but it's really up to you. I'd say go for it. You won't be disappointed.

Well it is a different construction. They went back to a style similiar to the old thruster which was an awesome durable ski.

I have skied them about. 15 weeks or so hitting rails every day and I don't even have one edge crack. Super good construction.

Super fun ski. Butter easy but have a stiffer, medium flex feel. They have an unbelievably low spin weight. They will take a day to

I did only ski the halos for two days but when I did I actually didn't like them. I found them stiff and lifeless. Although the rocker helps I found the 2012s a lot more fun for my style.

i found a pair of Völkl Ledge:s 2010 with marker griffon 12 bindings(everythins is new) for 300€, i think that it's a very good price for the whole setup, but are they good?
All times are Eastern (-5)
