Ahh, good ol' COD4

Tonight, I decided to take a break from all the new Call of Duty bullshit and decided to whip out the ol' sword from the sheath. Ahh yes, Call of Duty 4. It was actually quite dusty from sitting in my dvd/game rack because it hasn't been touched for two years. From this experience i have learned the following:

-COD4 was the shit and will be the shit for quite a while
-The hit markers in that game are more inaccurate then my four year old cousin trying to pee in the toilet like a big boy.
-Treyarch literally screwed everything up in World at War and Black Ops.
-Balanced games are nice. There wasn't anybody getting ridiculous killstreaks as people did and do in Black Ops and MW2.
-I am burning my copy of Black Ops tomorrow.

So NS, take out those 3 year old copies of COD4 and give them a shot. I enjoyed it much more than any of the newer games. Feel free to add to my list of pros and cons.

Oh forgot to add:

-Customizable killstreaks can be fun, but when the involve exploding RC cars and chopper gunners that are insanely easy to get if you camp, the whole game is ruined. I like fixed ones better.

COD is full of bullshit kills and douche packers who have no lives and get like 75 percent of the kills in a match. I raped yesterday on gun game i got to the first sniper without a death.

In MW2 I got nukes like 25% of the time.  My highest kill streak so far is like 17.  Black Ops is definitely a harder game than MW2.  I never really played CoD4 though.  Either way, I think Black Ops > MW2.  I can't judge CoD4 though.

nahh. mp5 silenced or mp5 red dot depending on the map. m40a3 acog or m40a3 scoped depending on the map. that's right. 4 classes using only 2 guns. deagle as secondary, frag x3, stopping power, and steady aim

Burning it will give me more satisfaction. Its alllllll about the satisfaction. I think I might stick an aerosol can of axe or some hairspray into it also, just so I know that the game has truly died. And some gas.

You're not average if you got a 23 killstreak. The highest killstreak you can get is 11 and thats not very difficult but 15's pretty hard. 23 is hard as fuck. You have to pick up hella other weapons since you obviously wont have enough ammo. Unless you camp but its still hard

It really is the best in the series...I play it all the time still.

even though it's basically unfair to use the M16 with red dot is the shit.

I also liked p90 and ak47 silenced the M4 was fun as well...and lets not forget the M40A1.

Maps like crossfire, overgrown, vacant, crash, ambush, pipeline even the grenade fest known as wetwork haha man good maps.


I miss 3 frags and being able to have 2 claymores.

If your going old COD the best by far was COD 3. multiplayer on that back in the day was amazing...

I miss cod 3. Cant find decent matches on it any more :(

the ak47 silenced was unreal as well

wetwork with a silenced mp5, uav jammer, and extreme conditioning was a rape class. if you could sneak behind their whole team in time you could get like a 15 kill streak before they started spawning on the other side of the ship. they'd spawn, run up, and you'd shoot them in the back and then sneak back into cover. it took the other team so long to find you

I play MW2 just for playing Quickscopes with my friends, Cod4 and Black Ops are just to different for me to compare. But i prefer BOps just because of zombies.

i still maintain that world at war was the best COD. if only it had better online support so it wasnt just a ridiculous laggy hell.

COD 3 was the biggest joke.
I wish the snipers in black ops were like in COD4, they were perfect. The snipers in Black ops are extremely underpowered, The scope takes forever to stop swaying. Even if you align the crosshairs perfectly on your target and shoot, the shot will miss. You need to wait a while before you pull the trigger, which is total garbage. Assault rifles can snipe better and faster then the sniper rifles. The snipers in this game have no use whatsoever. I still have fun using my l96 though... better then nothing.

lol yea, and sniping isnt all that bad, i have friends who still use them and do good with them. just another gun to get used to. the only way i can use a sniper is with a acog scope and steady aim pro.

by the way OP i'm not saying this is true about you, play whatever game you want i dont care. but there are lots of people who seem to get more pleasure out of hating treyarch games than they would just playing. i mean, let's get real here, the last 4 or 5 CODs have been more or less identical

i had so much fun with mw2, black ops just gets boring. at least mw2 it was fun to play with different guns and killstreaks. black ops guns are all too similar so its just boring. looking down the sights and shooting a galil vs an aug really isnt that different

Cod4 had terrible hit detection but was my favorite game. The maps are the best. Crossfire, Ambush, Crash <3

Blackops isn't bad or anything close to bad. It just doesn't have that WOW factor in it like other games. It also lacks the fun, harmless glitches of past games. Examples:

cod4- 1v6 clutch in search. Everyone is screaming.
waw- nevermind...
mw2- Getting a nuke on the first day. Everyone is going nuts, even the people who lost. It was amazing.
blackops- Nothing really. Playing nuketown over and over and over again was pretty fun but they took that away. Search clutches are too easy when you use the ak74u or g11. While going 130-15 on nuketown demo is fun, it isn't anything to literally scream about. This game was made for gamebattles. Thats where the fun comes in.
