What are you talking about, the jeeps? They sold more copies of black ops than jeeps with that commercial. They put the car in the game not the other way around.
i understand that, but it's not what they're selling -- the jeep isn't the disposable income specially designed jeep for BO. It's a $4 badge that's coincidentally on the current model jeep. The intent of this commercial is to primarily sell BO.
Maybe jeep has a license on the in game vehicle, and get's a % for each copy sold. But be clear, the people who buy this jeep, were going to buy a jeep. No one's deciding they need a new car because it's in their video game.
Toyota FTW. The white pickups/technicals in MW and MW2 look an awful lot like hilux or pickups...but toyota didn't need to license anything because we all know already now popular they were around the world.
This, I'll take my 100 series Cruiser over a jeep any day.
Not to mention, I would never be able to live with myself know how much of a tool i looked like driving around a special edition video game truck. woof
