FCP problem

I'm an older version of FCP, 4.5 i think. Because of my computer, power pc, i can't upgrade.
It has been working fine, but now when im rendering it just stops in the middle of the render, and doesnt render any of the clip, it doesn't give an error or anything, it just stops

has anyone had a similar problem or know how to fix it?

help is greatly appreciated

maybe trash your preferences

it stopped for a while, but its doing it again

how do i trash my preferences

i deleted the preferences but it still wont render
the progress bar pops up, and the render starts. Then it just disappears a if i didn't even tell it to render

i ended up just appzapping final cut and torrenting a new version
