2010 hellbents, 2011 ep pros, bent chetlers, night trains, or jjs. im looking for a dedicated powder ski, that wont die on the way back to the lift. which do you guys think would be the best. im 5'7" but growing fast, and i weigh 122. these would be for next season. Also, id probly mound them with griffons, sth 14 drivers, or pivot 14s. THANKS

I just took my New Bentchetlers out for the first time yesterday and must say they are Awesome in the soft snow they are a dream and on the hard cruddy bumpy snow they just chop through everything and still hold on groomers with the camber. I would recomend them.

iv only skiied the bents and the ep pros and much prefer the ep pros just felt lighter, more fun and playfull, butters in pow are just rediculous on them, but they do sound like chainsaws on the way back to the lift, still fun on hardpack, just gotta slide your turns. if i could id get the jjs aswell i would (no £) better if the pow turns choppy.

Aren't bibbys a bit stiff? I like my skis awful buttery; I like to fool around and hit bc booters more than charge...

Out of those options there, Hellbent or EP would do you okay for what you say you'll need.
I really find PNW snow to need a little bit of a stiffer ski than those, but I've never had a season where I get the luxury of choosing the days I ride so that I always hit the fresh and deep days. Something a bit stiffer gets you around in more variable snow, and it does make doin drops and technical stuff a bit easier than something soft that may wash out when you land a bit back.
Obviously, you should check out our 181 Caylor, which was designed in the PNW for the PNW. If its not an option though, I'd go with either of the two that I previously mentioned. Its kinda a tough choice though, all of the skis you mentioned are pretty good pow skis, I wouldnt consider any of them 'bad', just some are more apt to different riding styles.

i just got the hellbents, kind of wishing i got the s7's or seths ... i think the bents may be just too wide for charging the way i like to.
but i won't know for sure until my trip out west in march ..

Just had my first weekend on my 185 JJ's, super stoked on them. They are super playful and still perform on groomers. I have them mounted at -3 and they rip.

I don't know whether the bent refers to HellBent or Bentchetler, but I'm going to assume HellBent.
I, too, have skied both the EP Pro and HellBent. Out of these two skis I think the EPs are better at pretty much everything. Way lighter too.

Ninthward CVP, Surface New life in 184 would be perfect for your height.

i cannot speak enough about moment. Night train is a sweet ski. good mid range flex so its soft enough to still be playfull, but stiff enough to perform well in chop or higher speeds.
i honestly found the ep pro to be unfunctionally soft. yeah im bigger than you, but i personally think its sort of a novelty ski. really fun when its deep, just obnoxiously soft the rest of the time.

listen to this man. also +k for an awesome review.
I was hesitant as to whether i wanted a stiff powder ski or something soft and buttery, as that seemed to suit my style of jibbing and buttering pow, but i cant say enough good things about my Caylors. The stiffness just supports you better and makes it easier to rider your skis rather than having them ride you, especially when everything gets cruddy. Unless you're really confident you want something soft, my advice would be to get something towards the stiffer end.
Night trains and bibbys were the other skis i was seriously considering, and i think you'd be really happy with those too, depending whether you want the camber underfoot or not.
However it would be really really hard to be disappointed with any of those skis.

can they handle hardpack at all?

They're less apt for skiing park than a Elizabeth or something a bit softer, but the camber underfoot will be able to get you back to the lift just fine after a pow run. Wrens are more fun on groomers, but Caylors do okay. Tips chatter way less than other rockered fatties.

EP Pro.I got mine last year and love them. I'm 5'9" and 150 if that helps at all. Just make sure you're ready to put a little more effort into carving on packed snow. But really, you won't go wrong with any of these. They're all quite close and offer some features that the rest don't, but overall I highly doubt you'll be disappointed. Find a pair that fits your budget (don't forget to get good bindings as well) and pull the trigger. I've skied on hellbents, ep pro's, and bent chetlers and loved each of them. I went with the ep pro's because I found them on craigslist for $600 with jesters.

got to try out my jj's last week i have the 185s, they are really fun, pretty flexy and did very well in the powder, when i went onto the groomers they handled like a dream could turn and carve ect like my park skis (line chronic cryptonite), and in crud/chop they did very well, very responsive and soft on landings
