98 Camry Help

So all of a sudden the automatic door locks will only work with the ignition on or on acc, and the alarm doesnt work anymore. idk why this all of a sudden happened but i need help!


any ideas as to why this is happening?

Your electrical system is screwed up which means it could be honestly anything...

i was thinking it might be a fuse but wouldnt that make it not work no matter if the ignition is on or not?

its probably a wiring problem if it works sometimes and not others. the only way you could really fix that is to go to the dealer because the average mechanic wont know what to do

maybe something just finally broke. its an older car, its possible.

body control module. go to autozone use their scan tool it might pull the code for that. i did some research into this problem and with it working with the key in the ignition this seems likely. hope it helps happy turkey day
