haha yeah, i came to CT for thanksgiving and to get my stuff that got shipped to my parents house...no snow here so we had to work with what we could...
Well its not your work, so Im not going to waste much time critiquing them. Most of this is better than the stuff that gets posted on here though..
1. Doesn't work for me simply because the stark contrast from the black to blue is all most these shots have going for them.
2. Would be way better if it didn't have as much dead space.
3.&4. Meh.
5. Can someone please do me a favor and tell me what this lighting set up is called? I know its extremely common and one photographer is really well known for it, and I can't think of the name. I think the lights need to be pushed in and it needs to be shot tighter. Might help that flare. Im at least content he didnt opt for the 'edgy' post processing that typically accompanies that lighting set up..
I like the dead space in the 2nd one, IF you plan on doing something in post advertising/logo wise with the space. otherwise the space is overwhelming.
For the second one, I think a pretty cool concept would be to have a bunch of little first drop logos falling from the sky like snow. May look better in my head then it would look on the photo though.
