Replying to Good Thing There's Skiing.
These days, I am not myself. You know when you have a lot of stress on your shoulders and stuff to do and you just can't get your head straight. Studies, work, family problems, friends, girlfriend, boyfriend, whateverfriend, etc, etc, etc. I mean, sometimes, life just keeps on throwing shit at you.
But that's when i say to myself, good thing there's skiing.
You have to admit that sometimes, it just ain't easy. I'm at a point in my life where it's a god damn hell hole. So much stuff to do for school, so much studying and so many projects... above it all, there are everyday problems like a speeding ticket, bills to pay and all that crap. I probably had the worse week last week... all sorts of that stuff and other bullshit that just makes you go nuts for nothing. I am probably not the only one feeling this. But when the week end settles in, I can't appreciate skiing enough.
When you cut through that deep virgin pow, land a flawless jump, cut through newly groomed trails, when you smell that fresh mountain air fill your lungs and that breeze on your face, there's probably nothing like it. When I'm up there, i don't care about anything except for what line i should take and how much fun i'll be having. Skiing is more than just a sport, it's a deliverance. It's a way to just set your mind free and put you problems aside.
I've probably made a thread for nothing, but i had to talk about it to someone... and who to tell it to but people that know it best?
I couldn't just talk about this to anybody, cause i needed someone that would actually know what I'm talking about and you don't know what's the feeling of freedom until you've tasted it.
Good thing there's skiing.
