Ski shops for binding mountings in LA?

Hey everyone, I bought some AR7s from my hometown back in Ohio and I need to get bindings mounted out here in LA. I used to go to Fluid in Manhattan Beach but they closed out of the blue so I need a new shop to get them mounted at. Any suggestions? thanks in advance. - Tom

I think the most legit ski shop in the LA area is Ski Net Sports in Stidio City. The owner and the shop tech know a lot about skis, boots and bindings.  I got my boots custom fitted from this guy, and bought some skis.  Very informative when it comes to binding placement as well.  If you want to go cheaper then the sports chalets in torrance or huntington beach, the only problem is they might mount you skis backwards (happen to a friend of mine)

.I went to Doc's Ski Haus.  They did a fine job by me mounting, but they are kinda expensive.  Give them a call before heading over to find out prices.  Very professional  type people who worked there

Sports Ltd. in Woodland Hills is great. The bindings are decently priced too, I got Rossi World Cups for $250 or so, I don't really remember. But I do remember getting year old Marker's cheap bindings for 75$.

Ski Net are really nice guys and they do great work. I go to Santa Monica Ski & Sport though. They used to be Doc's Ski Haus but they sold the name and now there is a different shop a block down the street called Doc's but I've never been there.

Anyway Santa Monica do work just as well as Ski Net but they charge like $10 less for almost everything. Really nice guys they will do shit like let you skip the line if you need some work done NOW and you bring them a 6 pack. For a lot of smaller things like brake repair they only charge you for the materials. Plus its a rad shop, the technician is like 100 years old and they have autographed pictures from ski racers in the 50's and shit. They have been open forever. Oh and they have Full Tilts.

Well I ended up going with the new Doc's Ski Haus in Santa Monica.

They were a little more expensive than I would have liked but were very prompt and thorough and had a quick turnaround time.

I'm headed up to Mammoth on Thursday so the real test will be this weekend.

claude is pretty cool. ian is legit, he's mounted everything in my family, my dad's 3 skis, 2 of mine, 2 of my uncles, 1 of my aunts, 2 of my other uncles, 1 of my other aunts. He's sold boots to two of my aunts and an uncle.

+ you get some sweet freeskier mags

And Claude is a legit bootfitter, I ski much much better now that I have properly fitted books. And he always hooks it up with the freeskier, he gave me an entire year's worth the last time I went in :)

I always went to Val Surf in the Valley Village.... may seem like a surf shop... but the guys that run the repair shop are pretty much the raddest 50 year old former ski bums ever. They gave me one of the best race tunes I've ever had and did it free cause they were so excited that I even asked for a race tune... on a pair of demos that they also let me take out for free.

Anyway, they are rad. They know their shit. They aren't as expensive as some of the other legit shops around but after visiting pretty much every shop in LA/Orange County many many times (used to do outside sales) they were definitely my favorite most informed repair shop.

I decided to leave that part out, but it's true he is at first. But I have been going there for two years now as well and he has hooked me up with some pretty sweet deals on skis
