When im logging and transferring with a usb 2.0 only the audio pops up. any suggestions?

last time i checked all types of capturing footage to a computer required a firewire. get on it

Not true at all, I've been importing only with usb2.0 recently because someone is borrowing my firewire400 harddrive and all i have is firewire 400 for my camera, not 800 which is all my computer has.

Not sure why its not working for you OP, usb2.0 always works for me.

My computer has a usb 2.0 port and 3.0 port. should i be using the 3.0 port or does it not make to much of a difference when uploading footage?

USB never worked for me either, I always thought you needed FW. I like this adapter because it makes it so I can hot swap when needed. I like it.

I've just always used the firewire, never had an upload longer than 5-10 minutes, that's with a full 32 gb card too...
