Full tilt boots: full size and half sizes the same??

I talked to a boot fitter yesterday and asked to try on a full tilt 27.5. He pulled out a 27 instead and I asked him why. He says a 25 and 25.5 are the same thing just as a 30 and 30.5 are the same thing. There are no differences between a full size and half size...not even the liners?!
Can anyone back up this info for me? Thanks! ++kk

99.9% true statement from your boot-fitter. There is no difference between a 27 and 27.5 shell. Some companies might last or shape the 27.0 liner differently than the 27.5, but once you heat mold the liner it always takes the shape of your foot and the shell, thus removing most any difference between the half sizes.
Lange/Rossignol take this a step further with some of their new boots and don't even offer a 27.0 any more, just 27.5 because there is really no difference when all is said and done.
