All the drugs being legalized? That sounds like a really bad fucking outcome.

If the United States legalized drugs it would just make illegal drugs another commodity similar to alcohol during the prohibition on the capitalist market there would be an immediate underground movement for cheaper and probably better drugs then the government subsidized "drug crops". The pattern can be seen in commodities like alcohol, tobacco and firearms where there will always be an underground movement.

Legalizing all drugs would just turn things into a shit storm, but on the other hand it would create thousands of jobs and stimulate government revenue if handled properly, they would probably tax the hell out of it though that would again promote a movement for an underground trade.

I'm a firm believer in if someone is going to do drugs it really doesn't matter if they are legal or not. If someone wants to try meth, they're going to try meth. If we legalized all drugs and put all the money that currently goes to incarceration for distribution/posession/cultivation charges back into the system and use the money for rehabilitation programs a lot of positives could come out of it. The problem with how we deal with drugs in America is simply that we don't. Most people that go to jail for getting hooked on meth or heroin don't need to be sitting behind bars using up tax money, they need to be learning how to live a proper life without the use of drugs, we can't keep each person hooked on drugs in life for prison or all our tax money would go to them. One of the main reasons for such a high reincarceration rate in America is because there is no education programs/drug rehabilitation programs within prisons.
