Replying to How much waterproofing do you need?

So i just bought one of the Armada Lorenzo softshells, the spray one, and was wondering if thats going to be waterproof/breathable enough to use as my daily jacket. It states on the site as being 5k mm and 3k g, is that going to be ok?

Obviously it wont be my jacket for when i go waist deep pow in the BC, but will it hold up on whiteout day/really cold days?
