Computer power to edit gopro footage?

No information on the gopro website, but just want to make sure my computer can edit the footage and I'm not wasting my money.
Right now I got an hv30 editing 720p hdv footage fine with a 1.66ghz dual core processor and 1gb ram. Will I be able to do the gopro 720p footage and the 1080p footage with these specs?

hey man, i have a 1.8 GHZ and 1GB of RAM. My computer edits 720 60 fps fine. the 1080 can be sometimes laggy but is definitaly still possible to edit with. you will probably end up using the 720 60 fps more then 1080 anyways.

Yeah I thought I would be good, my hv30 is 720p so I will use the 60p for the slow mo and some good POV shots. Thanks for the response +k man.

Might wanna upgrade your ram. It can be cheap if you do it your-self. But i have no experience with editing go pro footage so i wouldn't know.
