ahah, i love reading the canada vs. US controversy. It's always interesting. Who gives a fuck about what may have happened in the past, people were stupid back then. Do you really think what happened 100 years ago really affects anything today? NO. Besides, none of you know what exactly happened. All you know is what your grandpa told you when you were 12. J.D. thats funny becasue Canada's special forces team (JTF-2) is considered the best in the world as far as training goes, but w/e

and our school rugby team went to texas for 10-days on a tour and they were asking people about Canada, some reply's 'where is canadiana?' 'isnt it on the northern states?' 'how many states does it have'

now i dont really give too shits about any of this argument, i just wanted to counter Atlantaski and i thought the last bit was funny.

canada's wierd...I went to Quebec city for a little while last summer. every other person had dyied hair and wierd outfits on. and its not that america doesnt have that too, its just there were more of them in canadia. I kept calling it canadia too, and people got mad. they spoke french a lot too, which was cool for a day, but then got annoying because I couldn't speak it (but don't most Quebec City people speak more french than english? so its not like that in other parts of canada?). I think I'm too american. I want to go to whistler though

History time.

Canada did exist before 1860. 1860 is the year where our constitution was signed. Before 1960, there was 2 canada, East and west. But canada did exist before 1860. The constitution was just to make 1 country, coast to coast, and decide of the laws and stuff like that. And that is not some bullshit, its from history and political science books.

Also, think about this. If there was no canada, you guys would miss a lot of stuff..

Canada did exist before 1860. 1867 (Not 1860) is the year where our constitution was signed. Before 1867, there was 2 canada, Upper and Lower (not east and west. To make matters confusing, upper Canada was the southern region, while Lower Canada was in the North. It had to do with the St. Lawrence River). But canada did exist before 1867. The constitution was just to make 1 country, from the East coast to where manitoba would eventually be, and decide of the laws and stuff like that (our laws were in fact identical to the British ones initially, and much of our legal system and constitution is implied and operates on the same principles as the British). And THAT is not some bullshit, its from history and political science books.

fuck everything. if you wanna argue shit about wars you can throw out stats to make either side look good, canada had juno beach and went the furthest!. ok sure. but 99.9 of the people in Canada or America had nothing to do with that. I didn't have anything to do with any Canadian inventions, it was an individual that made it not the average canadian. My day to day life is why I like canada.

Day after day I wake up in a country where I'm not fearful, where consumerism is not quite as bad as other places. A place where I know I'll be taken care of if I'm hurt regardless of cost and the average person has a little more respect for others. that's what matters.

I don't see many hot chicks in canada. It's weird. I've been to ontario a bunch of times and theres just not that many hot girls. I probably just got unlucky.

Canada is seriously pretty sweet. The people I've talked to there are all really nice.
