Overflip? misty 5?

isnt an overflip the same as a misty 5.
i had that discution today with some dude.

if my previous statement is wrong could you please show me the difrence in a video.

and yes, i know this is a repost probably..

over flip for someone that spins left would be spin left 90, do a sideways flip (lincoln loop) spin another 90. whereas a misty 5 is just a spinning front flip.

kind of, but a misty isnt as inverted. it goes:
overflip: 90-lincoln loop down hill-90 in one fluid motion. head goes completely upside-down
misty: like an overflip but not as inverted. but still, your head goes under your feet
bio: like a misty but your head never goes past your feet

most people do overflips and call them misty 5's i think.

this is an overflip. (see peter olenick)

misty 5 is basically a little more crooked.

its like comparing oranges to oranges, its pretty much the exact same trick.

no because, a rodeo is like 90/tweaked backflip/90, and the under flip would be like 90/lincoln loop/90.

you set rodeo left and back and you set underflip more like a really inverted cork, so left than straight back/under. overflip is like branny basically a more straight over front 1 (technically 90 lincoln 90 like has been said) while misty is more off axis less straight over flip

Overflip 540:

An overflip can easily be mistaken for a misty.
It’s an odd rotation: a 90 degree turn off the lip, followed by a lincoln loop down the hill, to another 90, landing backwards.
Baisically the opposite of an underflip, commonly mistaken for a misty 5.
90, lincoln loop downhill (feet face jump followed by head) to another 90, landing backwards. These do look almost exactly like misty’s. Watch Mike Wilson in ready, fire, aim:



Misty 540:

A misty is not an off axis spin like a cork, d-spin or bio. It is a spin with a FULL inversion, aka, the riders feet at some point in the spin go directly OVER his or her head.
It is a spin with a backflip. Note in this one how you can see the skis go OVER the persons head and wrap around.

nah dont thinnk so 90/lincoln/90 can be underflip or overflip the difference is that when you are doing an underflip you do the lincoln "up" the hill and at an overflip you do it "down" the hill. hopefully you guys get what i mean.

and mistys are the opposite of rodoes imo which would be frontflips with any spin...

youre right about the underflip/overflip thing.

but mistys and rodeos are NOT front/back flips with spins. they are off axis tricks, wheres a true front/back flip with a spin would be an aerials trick like a full or branny.
