Topgear America is on tonight.

From all the previews and shit, it looks like they are trying to copy the uk series. I think it goin to be a complete mess, cause Tanner has shows on speed and they are the corniest shows ever, then you have some fat ass redneck thats associated with nascar bull, and some random dude. I could be all wrong and it could be amazing but i doubt it

don't go into it thinking its the uk top gear or else you're going to be disappointed, no matter how good it is.

its difficult to do, but watch it as it's own unique show and you might enjoy it more.

i love the cars.

the cometary is retarded, they are no where near as interesting or funny as the originals.

why is buzz aldrin on the show? the last time i saw him was on ali g.

the stig blows.... this one is a terrible driver

i knew it wouldn't be as good as the original of course. but so far it is better than I was expecting. I was hoping the guys would be older so they could appreciate the history of cars and such. the really young hosts are kinda meh.

banter sucks- the stig was fine with driving- however he obviously didnt slide across the finish in the real laps- just set up shots

I'l continue to watch it, but it really depends how likable the hosts are if It survives.

The big guy, and the guy with the big hair are good, the other guy who tries (and fails) to be funny is on very thin ice though....

the show was not as bad as i thought it was going to be.

that being said, i dont like the host with the beard.

and none of the quotes can live up to anything that jeremy clarkson says.. like how about this one "its like being aroused at gun point" it sounds to me like they are trying to hard to have the exact same show as the British version.

but whatever the producers were aiming for i will still watch it because its the best car show i get because i dont get speed.

absolute failure, hmmmmmm exactly the same set up but you have two men rding in a shiny red convertible together pretty homo, and they tried so hard to be funny and make fun of each other, but you cant do that with three americans. i mean they had to explain srt 10, it stands for street/race technology and the 10 stands for 10 cylinders, oh really i though it was sex, rock, and tourettes, and 10 is how many testicles it has, oh thats a window to view the engine O RLY

Overall not a complete failure. I liked Tanner Foust, the other two guys not so much. Definitely looking forward to the episode where they drive the Ford Raptor SVT.

Look at earlier Top Gear UK's. Their banter sucks too. It took time to develop their TV personalities.

The show scared me at first. I thought it sucked really bad and I was pretty disappointed, but bringing buzz to the show was cool and the lambo's were hot which made3 me change my mind. I will be staying tuned

I thought it was alright, I think it will take some time to be even half as entertaining as the OG Top Gear, but it might get there some day. I really found a higher respect for Tanner Foust as a driver, he man handled that Viper all around the track. That New York douche needs to leave, and I feel like the bearded guy is just going to be a James May or Captain slow as they call him. I am going to give it time and see what it develops into.

surprisingly, i agree with you.

A big part of top gear is the humor, which is of course, predominantly british humor. You can make the same joke in american-english, but it just won't be the same, which ruins it.

I haven't been able to see it, but from what i gather, topgear america needs to go in their own direction a bit, rather than literally trying to take everything, down to the humor, from the british version.

Yeah, I always thought it was a great show. Haven't seen it in years. Didn't know it was still on. Maybe it isn't on, maybe I don't get the channels.

yeah it was ok, im just really surprised with how bad the hosts are, tanners ok, he's a better driver than all the UK top gear hosts combined, but he's not funny, he needs to be the one that two older hosts are always giving shit. so tanners a good choice, but how could they not find hosts better than the other two. they are just plain lame and not funny at all. they need to be 10 years older atleast, and not be afraid to make extremely rude, offensive and racist comments.

if they werent trying to copy the UK top gear exactly, and picked some badass rude offensive hosts, and filled the show full of american badassness, then id say it could even beat the UK version. but as it is now, it doesnt even come close.

it feels SO scripted and fake it hurts to watch. i know, alot of the uk topgear is pretty scripted, but its done so fucking well that i honestly do not give a fuck. but this one? fuck... i dont know, it just felt so fucking fake. the whole helicopter chase felt completely staged.

If you watch right now, they're racing skiers going down mammoth in CA, the driver is using an EVO.

One of the guys has the seth pro suit and seth skies from a few years back.
