Opening day is Wednesday so usually it stays like that for the weekend or gets better. So wait it out t'ill then, but I will take a guess from the previous three year.
You are looking at 1-2 small jumps probably 10-15ft in size along with 3-6 different rails/boxes higher numbers are more likely if it gets colder and they can blow more snow on the hill.
Do you remember how much snow we got last season and the temperatures? Explains a lot...
I'm looking at the forecast and the radar maps and it looks like the rain will pass. Snowguns have been on since Thursday night at the top of the mountain it will open I guarantee it.
Hmm... Anybody know if they'll have an alright setup the weekend of 24h at Tremblant? Probably heading up there with some friends for the event, and would love to have atleast some decent rails to hit, since none of the hills around me are open yet...
Well at least they are opened... I will probably get up there to ski Friday and the rest of the weekend. Look for me oakley corked suit teal and black.
Alright man what are you going to be wearing. Judging by the big 3 runs that are open there was no park today. Probably a small one will be made for tomorrow under the Lowell Thomas chair.
Also snowmaking is on top to bottom north and southside so I think we will be able to ski out for the weekend instead of downloading on the gondala.
We will keep up the good work on our trails and tomorrow Tremblant will be able offer 6 runs with a mini park in the Alpine run. Hopefully mini park doesn't mean mini features also.
"mini park" had a 15 foot flat box and a 15 foot urban up box to 7 ft butter box then a 20 ft rainbow box and a 15 foot log with rail on top... it was pretty fun for opening day
A fire took place earlier this afternoon in the operation cabin at the top of the Duncan chairlift. This lift was not in operation. The fire was extinguished, the cause of this fire is still under investigation and no one is injured. The mountain has been evacuated and closed for the rest of the afternoon as a safety measure. The skiing will resume tomorrow as scheduled.
Park was closed all day because they were grooming the runs below also had to do with the visibility. Left at 1:00 was pretty bored with only 2 ways down;
Talked to one of the park guys and they are moving the park down to alpine bas later this week.
