STH14 is different from STH14 Driver how?

No it makes it heavier and more durable.

IMO the sth 14 is shit and i hate it and the driver is a great binding.

The driver is a far superior binding, it has the same design as the STH 16 toe, just a lower DIN, and that makes it a more durable and more reliable binding, there is a lot of plastic on the STH 14, and the Driver streamlines that and replaces some of the plastic with some metal. The wings on the toe of the Driver are also better and prevents pre-releasing a lot better. The added weight is nothing compared to what you gain with the Driver toepiece.

 with that toe piece, you get custom wing adjustment, and also height adjustment vs the quadrax toe(regular) with is automatic adjustment. 
the custom adjustment give you a very secure hold even when your boot might be a bit worn.

just  picked up my sth 14 driver im gona mount on ar7 and couldnt be happier i was going to go with griffons but at last minute saw the driver and itll def be worth the extra $30

The forward pressure adjustment is different, as far as I know. The Driver has a screw (WAY BETTER), whereas the regular has tabs (pain in the ass).

The STH 14 Driver is not the same as the STH 16 Driver.
The "tower" who holds up the toe piece is plastic on the 14 version, vs steel on the 16 version:

the heel pieces in this years drivers are exactly the same as the regulars... the only difference is the driver toe vs the quadrax toe
