Hey! Hoping i can get some help here! And my skiing location is Norway!
Im looking for some new skiis and my skills are low! Havent done skiing in 10years(bin playing with a snowboard) But now i wanna try out twintips! Im looking for skiis thats mainly for jibbing/park riding and hopefully after some time i will hit the big jumps to if i got the balls for it hehe!
I am 180cm 22 years old and arraound 100kg ish! Im not sure what kind of budget i should have but im guessing arraound 700-800$ with a binding if it works or without!
Thanks for the answers if i get any! :)

There are tons of options out there for you. You'll probably want something fairly forgiving, so a mid-soft to soft ski. I don't quite know what skis you have available to you in Norway, but this years K2 Silencer or K2 Press are awesome park skis and really good for beginners and easy to progress on (my first twin was the Silencer). The Press is a bit cheaper and softer than the Silencer, but if do plan on jumping mid-large size jumps any time soon I'd go with the Silencer. Like I said there are tons of options out there for beginner-intermediate riders (and yes, I'd consider you on the intermediate side because you know about snow, it wont take you long to get to that level, so you don't want a strictly beginner ski cause it'll be harder to progress on them by the end of the season). What I'd recommend is to go to a shop if you can and just look around, pick up some skis that stand out to you, flex them, a lot of the times a ski will kinda pop out to you and you'll know thats the ski for you. As far as bindings, I'd go with something like the Tyrolia Peak 12 or something along those lines. Good luck and enjoy!

the ar7 is a much more park specific ski and the Thall is a park and all mountain ski

actually its pretty much the other way round.. the ar7 has a relatively even flex whereas the t-hall has some butter zones thrown in for more jibbing performance..
The Ar7 is pretty much the perfect first twin in my opinion..

Hey All,
I'm in the same situation as the person from Norway (sorry your name escapes me as I'm typing this). I have been snowboarding for about 6 seasons now and I'm finding that it just isn't doing it for me anymore. As I have only skied twice my entire life I'm not looking to go overboard on new skis, I'm looking for ski's that for starters shred in the park and jibs as I am quite an avid park user, but are also great all over the mountain for side hits and airs etc. I'm about 5'10, 5'11 and I wear size ten shoes and snowboard boots. Any and all suggestions would help as I am clearly out of my field of expertise.
Cheers, M. Smith

depending on what you weigh maybe find some Lizzies... they ski kinda like a snowboard, are pretty much perfect for what you are describing and should be available cheap if you can still find them (since they were discontinued).. super soft though..

I'm sorry I weigh around 135-140 lbs, and I had looked at the lizzies by they are about $400 where I am and that's a bit out of my price range maybe I could find some used ones on craigslist though.
