Replying to Slowmotion workflow??

I am wondering how people handle the workflow for editing 60fps (or higher) video.

at the moment I am working out a workflow but I want to know what people do.

the way Im thinking of doing it right now is to first bring all of the videos I might want in slowmotion into after effects. (this is where I make them slowmotion to conserve all frames. then I would import all the videos into fcp and edit from there

this sounds like a stupid way to do it though. I want something more efficiant. could you tell me what your routine ( workflow) is for editing slowmotion. (the proper way not just apple j 50%)
