Final Cut Pro Help?

Okay, so I have recently uhh bought Final Cut Pro 7, and am trying to use it to simply speed up a time lapse video I shot.

I set my Flip Mino HD up on a tripod, and let it sit for an hour. The frame-rate of a Flip is 25fps, and for some reason FCP is standardized for 30fps. Whenever I try to import the video, I get http://cl.ly/1Z142l0C1R2A172t380Kthis eror. I hit no, then try to play it just to test, and i get a blue screen saying "Unrendered" with a beep in the background.

Can anyone help me out?

idk about the framerate stuff, but if it says unrendered, you need to render it, go to the sequence tab and click on render, or command+r

you should click yes. you want to project to match your clip settings

that response works, but i guarantee you that next time, you want to click yes right from the start. you won't have to render the clips just to make them compatible with the project like you're having to do right now

When I have tried clicking "yes", I usually find myself in the same situation

are you sure you're clicking yes right from the start? It really doesn't make any sense that it would give you the same problem. The only reason you have to render is because your clip settings don't match your sequence settings, so clicking yes would set your sequence settings to match your clip settings. You're still going to have to render for some things, but you shouldn't have to render after you just move a clip into the timeline if you've clicked yes. Are you still having to do that?
