Transaction advice?

Hey ns,

I'm currently in the middle of a transaction and I need your advice.  I'm buying a dslr from Sven824.  I have lots of feedback and people who can vouch for me (you can check my feedback).  He doesn't have any feedback, friends who can vouch, etc.  I'm not saying he isnt legit, but It's just kind of hard to get over the idea of sending the amount (which is alot) straight up and hoping everything will go well.  I offered to send half, and then send the other half when I receive the item and he wasn't liking the idea.  Ideas?

In that situation i normally say to send the gear first, but you were even nicer and agreed to send half the money first and half when you recieve the item.

If that doesnt work out than have him do it through ebay.

And if you are using paypal, they have a protection program.

Or just back out

and paypal will be the way of payment so its pretty much 100% safe.... Right?

nice advice, I think ebay is a good idea.  I can send the money upfront and I won't have to worry about anything because of the protection.

and ask for a bunch of info like name, address, cell # house #, facebook account

and btw the NSer looks young in his profile pic

when using paypal dont send it as a gift!!!!!!!! many people dont know, but when you send it as a gift it has no protection.

ill send u my address or anything u need to know... trust me i just want to be safe aswell think about it on my end.... plus i just need the money fast for ski gear i wouldnt be selling the camera otherwise.
