Where to cat ski in BC?

hey I was hoping to do some cat skiing this season, but there are so many places and options I'm not sure where to start. Anyone here had good/bad experiences with cat ski operations in BC? Thanks alot

My dad has gone SnowCat skiing in Retallack for 12 years. Tanner Hall now owns it.

ya retallack looks pretty sick but the rates started at about $680 a day, are there many that run for more in the $300-$500 range?

I had an amazing time at Valhalla Powdercats. I'm hoping to go back this season for a few days. It's pretty reasonable, and close to Nelson.

BALDFACE! its the illest around, ive been there a few times, there gourmet meals luxurious lodging awsome guides and workers and the best part awsome powpow. its just outside of nelson which is an cool town, great vibes, go for it!

baldface is legit. it was an epic experience. terrain is ridiculous and the snow is super amazing. dumped everyday we were there. i would go back anytime i had the chance. do it

baldface is sick, lots of open runs and a good place to go if you just want easy to ride pow with faceshots all day. if you want to actually challenge your skiing and have the most fun of your life (that is if you like fluffy pillows and the best tree skiing in this continent) go to retallack.

the way most cat skiing operations work is that they obtain a tenure license to use crown land for commercial purposes. as it is crown land, you are entitled to use that same terrain (just not for commercial purposes) despite their tenure. so if you want, you can just snowmobile right up their groomer trails and sled shred the same zones.

that's how it works around whistler atleast. at some sled zones around whistler (powder mountain), the cat ski operation will groom a trail for sledders that lead to other (and better) terrain zones so out of respect, sledders do not chew up the cat ski tenure. but at brandywine, alot of ski sledders genuinely want to ride metal dome, so even if brandywine cat skiing tries to discourage it, we still sled and ski the zone

yeah chatter creek has a HUGE land tenure. so they have a ton of terrain.
