I want to start up an outerwear company. Anyone have any experience in this field that can shed a few tips?

Actually me and my bros started a dope little company called Function 413. We have a whole sticker shop and presses for hoodies and t-shirts. We also are starting to make hats as well. Its really sick seeing a bunch of people wearing our clothing and reppin. our stickers. We have a whole setup comin up this winter and should have a teaser out soon. We also have a website to order clothing and a better website is dropping soon!

Really? all this hate? brutal.  there is a long list of things you'll need to get together, everything from a business bank account to finding raw materials and a factory to produce, as well as everything in between.  It will cost you serious dollars and you'll need to find some sort of investor, but if your that into it and thats what your set on doing go for it.  Forget all the fags hating and think of how great it would be to put it in their faces once you get going.  It can be done and someone has to do it, so why not you?  NS is a great asset for promotion, updates even a blog.  You've got a lot of work ahead of you, so good luck.

Yea, I'm kind of suprised. I may not be able to/want to start up immedietly, but it would be worth doing down the road. I mean, would it be easier just to contact an existing ski gear company, and talk to them about designing my own "line" or something to that effect?


Also, has anyone had any success screen printing shirts in their house, and could maybe throw some tips out there?
