alright so this is gonna sounds stupid but im half retarded with computers

how do i format a picture to fit as my icon

A way to get a picture you want as an icon thats on the internet, you need to do the following.

1. Go to Google Images

2.Click on Advanced Image Search next to the searchbar

3. In the bar that says Return Images That Are change it from Any Size to Icon, and find a picture you want thats 50x50 and put that on your computer, then upload it.
