Im not sure what you are talking about when you siad it was a desise cuse comiting suacide isnt a sickness. Depreesion is witch i mentoned up above and is vary easy to spot by freinds and faimily.

i dont know how to deal with suicide but i know how to deal with death. my friend died on my birth day last month, i know a couple people who have died. you just have to keep on truckin, the first couple days and weeks will be hard but you must know that you friend does not want you be sad, he/she would rather see you happy. you will get over it. but it is important you do not forget them down the road.hope that helps

my uncle stabbed himself in the heart like elliot smith a few weeks ago. the shitty part was his wife (my aunt) was handling legal matters of my grandfathers death that died only a week before my uncle. it gets even worse, my dad died last year (her brother) and three years before that my grandmother died (her mother). other than her children, her entire immediate family has died all within 5 years. talk about fucked. now, when my mom calls and says she has bad news, its my natural reaction to wonder who's died.

shut up misty7. you are wrong, plain and simple. most cases of depression you can tell something is wrong, but you don't know what. people usually figure it's just a phase, or are struggling in school, etc. nobody understands whats going on with them. people with depression refuse to talk about it. and depression is the disease im talking about. the reason i brought this up is that most suicides are the result of depression. i would know, i used to be depressed.

^You might want to add that there ARE other reasons, or triggers, at least for manic depressives. It isn't just 'I'm down because I'm depressed, and that's it'. Other factors contribute. I know you know that, it just didn't seem to come across in that post.

A friend of mine had a sister commit suicide this past week. It is terrible when shit like this happens. You want to kno why she killed herself? Because she a had a birth defect which caused her face to be deformed, but she also ahad a sensitivity disorder, and so it was a 1-2 punch. SHe finnally just gave up, because she was teased so much. It gave me a big wake up call about what words can do to someone, and i have to watch myself now.

i'm so sorry for your loss. I went through that a few years ago, I can't tell you how much it hurt. What helped for me was to really spend alot of time with my friends who were close to the friend that I lost. it really helped me to have a kind f support group that I could depend on and talk things through with. and like other people have said, try to keep yourself busy. The good news is that eventually it will get better, so hang in there.

sorry to hear about it man, my thoughts and prayers are with you and everyone else who knew him. ive never dealt with suicide, but i have had close friends die, and it's very hard, but you just have to get through the mourning period and do what you have to do, then things will slowly return to normal and you will begin to understand the situation better. just keep them alive through memories and it will be alright.
and to you fuckers who are making jokes and making fun of him, you have some serious issues you should deal with, because that's totally unnecessary. grow up, assholes.

i jsut dont see why anyone turns to suicide... think about the hundreds of people that are close to you that will be crushed. parents being the main people but what about friends and SO. sure it might seem cool at first but look at the long run and down the road to what really can be acomplished.

i'm sorry to hear that, i know its hard. i would suggest going to the funeral as well. it is going to probably be the hardest thing you've ever done but it does help the healing process. go easy on yourself it'll take some time. maybe if you can get a group of your friends together and do something that friend would have liked in memory of them. that helps too.

Yea, It happened to me. I had a best friend who I always hung out with when I was a teenager but moved abroad and saw him less and less. Hadnt seen him for a couple of years and his sister contacted me last year and told me he had killed himself. Was pretty dark, felt partly responsible because I had let our friendship fade. Now I just try and live a little more for him too ya know. Por some liquor on the ground every now and then.
