But seriously, he got burnt out because no one gave him recognition and he was never noticed. He finally got sick of it. . . but he is one of the illest dudes. . . I wish he would come back to the sport, hes too good to be gone

Dspong is kinda burnt out on skiing. He made a comeback and competed in Dew Tour the last 2 years but now he's focusing on school at U of Washington. Just got into the business school there. Just a weekend warrior on the slopes now ha

sure fischer have fucked up, but im sure he could get other sponsorship. I hope he makes a comeback. even for himself. Its not all about being the "coolest" he has mad skills. soooo bummed that he wants to break away from it. anyway ++ vibes to spong. hope ya make a hearty soup. or just start skiing again coz cheffin is whack!

Austin has just been chilling and shredding in Park City. He coaches for the Park City Freestyle team and spends a lot of his time in the winter shredding all over the mountain at The Canyons with Travis Perkins and Stefan Thomas along with shooting with Ross Downard. He still rides 4FRNT skis and has been helping out with some of their product testing. Definitely a super talented skier and still shreds super hard, but when you sustain two separate consecutive blown knees that take you out of skiing for almost two years, it makes it tough to get back to pro status.

He has also been using his GoPro a bunch, here is an edit from last spring at the Can:

He's still skiing. I think he was working somewhere fairly remote in BC this summer running heavy equipment and doing construction. I don't think he is getting much in the way of support from his sponsors and with Rage making films anymore he hasn't been shooting with anyone. I'm pretty sure he is in CO at the present time getting his early season park shred on.
