It's incredible.. But I'm not surprised.
I've been backpacking a lot (more than 8 month) in SE Asia, and I've spent several month living in China aswell and one thing I take back from my travels are the humility and the "self caring" of the kids.
I mean, they're poor compared to western countries but they behaves in a much much better way. I was so impressed watching and talking to them, they never cry and do so many things by themself without the help of the grown ups.. They NEVER complain and are way more mature at an early age than we are.
At one point, I was in a small village in Laos in the family of a guide a befriend with.. They invited me to stay with them for the night and the kids there were incredible. Two 10 years old took me to a river where they build a raft, went fishing, made a fire with wooden sticks and cooked us some small fish and shells.. They were 10 years old and I couldn't even do half the things they did.. I was speechless.
They need so little to be happy and I respect them so much for that.. We have a lot to learn from those "poor kids" that we sometimes watch on tv. Really.
Here's the 2 kids.
And a last one...
