been there. i find in my increasing age i get the itch more.

especially when im done writing finals, before i leave to write my last one i make sure there are plenty of ice cubes and the rye is in the freezer to ensure no waste in time once i get home.

I'm with you man. I find it really relaxing. Just get a buzz on and goof off on the internet. I drank last night and woke up this morning to text messages from my friend who found out and flipped on me. She was telling me how worried she was about me.

I respect the fact that she was worried about me, but I don't think she understands that its not really a big deal. Anyway she wouldn't let up until I promised not to do it anymore. I can't lie to her so I guess I can't really do it again. Bummer.

Although last week I did get pretty damn drunk alone and I suppose that's not the best idea.

its all about getting drunk as fuck and doing yardwork. only with smaller equipment though, like when i mow the lawn i always get smashed first, but one time i tried to drive the tractor intoxicated and i found it way too hard to work the clutch.

not so sure how i feel about operating dangerous machinery while intoxicated, but raking leaves? hell yes. it'd be slapping those things all over the yard and diving into the piles. neighbors would be looking out the window like 'yeahhhh i always knew that family had some issues..'

I hear from a reliable source however that they did not release the last batch of the 120 this year because it was not up to par with their extremely high standards of quality and consistency. Makes sense, cause I haven't seen it in some time now, tear...

After some days, you just wanna have some drinks. Hell I have gotten drunk alone before, that doesn't make me an alcoholic. Alcoholics feel the need to drink, they are addicted to it. It also affects them differently, they are much more likely to be angry drunks.

Maybe if you are getting floor-licking drunk by yourself, but then again if you do that around people a lot you might be an alcoholic too.

anddd this is how i wrecked the tractor...downed a bottle of gatorade and vodka (the big one) within like 20 minutes of cutting grass. next thing i know i wrecked into a tree at full speed and almost rolled it like 4 times. never knew a tractor could be so much fun...

Prefer drinking with others, but at least in my situation, it's not always possible.

There are of course times when you really wish for company, like last New Year's Eve- alone in a new short-term rental, nobody else there, empty kitchen, instant ramen for dinner, and a 750 mL bottle of champagne. Not exactly remotely festive.

But it's also nice to relax with a glass of wine or a beer with dinner, alone or with company.

The only time I ever drank alone was when I was like 14 and wanted to have a beer while watching king of the hill in my room. I guess I would have a beer, or cheap vodka and OJ. Just the same shit I like when I am trying to have a good time.
