Anyone have any experience with SSD?

Is an SSD worth getting at this point in time? I feel like it would be pretty key as an OS drive, but it's still $60-80 for only 32GB.

they're quick, but i feel like they would only be useful at this point in time in a netbook

I think I'm going to stay away from them for the time being, way out of my price range.

On a similar note, has anyone here got an Intel i7 quad-core? I think I'm going to get one, and I would like to know how it does with video/photo editing.
