Judging by the first of potentially many angry comments....I'm not actually suggesting people give up PBR....hahaha. Jeez.

And, to clear this up right away, I didn't get free beer, and I'm not promoting anything...or at least not for pay. I just really liked the beer, loved the can, and had a silly idea for a means to throw around a bunch of words. Basically, if you didn't pick up on the fact that it's a joke, and in good fun, well...I dunno.

But, thanks to all who have read it, and thanks Logan for always showing BroBomb love.

History, and PBR's ski legacy aside....this beer is pretty damn delicious. I'm surprised so many of you guys aren't digging the IPAs.....one of my favorites for sure.

Let the debate rage on!!

it took me a while to enjoy a strong ipa or triple ipa for that matter.. one might say as you grow older your taste buds deteriorate and you need more flavor to incite them. in my fridge right now. is a 6 pack of caldera IPA in cans. a six pack of tallboy Rainer, a twelve pack of Pabst and some Henrey wienhards speacial dark, and some 22's of Christmas beer. full sail Wreck the Halls and Ninkasi Slegher.

drink what you like. there is a reason there is more then one kind of beer in the store.

this article is so inaccurate! PBR is to mainstream for hipsters to drink now, skiers already won this battle. just stick with it! IPA's are def a good fallback though, lets hope it doesnt resort to that

Just cracked a Sierra Nevada myself.....

Fuck it, the Birds are on tonight...makes it legit that it's not 5 yet. I neglected my usual Sunday beersing time bc they're on Monday night. So. Yeah, glad I got that justification out of the way.

truth be told.. i read in the Portland mercury( hipster bible) that pbr is too mainstream. its now all about tallboys of hamms. Olympia, Rainer, or my fav which i have been drinking for a while. OLD GERMAN!

i am rather jealous of your fridge. aside from the ranier. i had some of that when i was out in seattle in may and thought it was like an even worse version of PBR and really couldn't justify the price for how bad it was.

Really I'll drink any beer though, IPAs are some of the best taste but sometimes a bit strong on the hops. Free beer is the best beer though :)

They aren't hating pbr necessarily, they are just promoting a smarter alternative. I personally love this gesture, due to my dad forcing many an IPA down my throat, I now love them and would happily drink a canned IPA over PBR. That being said, can we get a price range for a 30 of this stuff?

I had a PBR last weekend, it's like water. So I am having trouble figuring out this hipster PBR craze. We just drink whatever is cheapest and that would be Keystone, which also tastes like water

My thoughts exactly. If someone comes out with an IPA thats 30 for 13.99, I'm in, but until then, PBR is pretty great and it will always be the skier beer to me.

I'm sort of surprised how many people think I'm actually suggesting "we" stop drinking PBR...I figured that the general absurdity and silliness of the thing would allay on these cries of blasphemy, and whatnot.

I love PBR. It's cheap, and I can drink 12 of them. It's a perfect bar beer, and the perfect beer to indiscriminately waste/chug out of shoes/etc.

If I were to drink Caldera like I drink I'd be in the ground.

As far as I'm concerned, there's really no such thing as bad beer....that's like saying there's a bad blowjob. Sure, maybe it gave you the runs and temporarily blinded you/she used her teeth and said mean degrading things throughout the ordeal, respectively, but when it's all said and done, you ain't got shit to complain about.

I'd gladly share either beer with the vast majority of the people that bothered to read the thing at all.

funny article but....
who the fuck cares if hipsters drink it. I've been drinking it since before that fad and I'm not going to stop because of it. Yes I would much rather drink a nice Long Hammer IPA, but unfortunately I'm in college and $7.30 a 12 pack is more realistic than $10 a 6 pack.

Bottom Line- PBR is way better than the other low-price competitors. Stop caring so much about your image; Your acting like a hipster.
