Replying to What camera to get? HELP!

okay so my budget would be around 600. Ive done a bunch of skiing filming but not with the best of cameras. So im not too familiar with a lot of manual settings etc. But I would like to learn to use some not too complicated manual settings. I have a tripod and a crappy kenko fisheye lens I got on ebay for my old jvc everio hard drive camcorder. I will be mostly shooting skiing. But may film some skateboarding and experimental nature type shots. I would like to be able to have my friends film with it with not too much trouble. (My friends wouldn't be totally stupid about using a camera) I will be doing follow cams, tripod filming and freehand shots. I have a macbook with 2 gigs ram and a 120gb hard drive and 2ghz intel core 2 duo. I just got final cut express 4.0 and im just learning so thats what i'll be using.
