okay so my budget would be around 600. Ive done a bunch of skiing filming but not with the best of cameras. So im not too familiar with a lot of manual settings etc. But I would like to learn to use some not too complicated manual settings. I have a tripod and a crappy kenko fisheye lens I got on ebay for my old jvc everio hard drive camcorder. I will be mostly shooting skiing. But may film some skateboarding and experimental nature type shots. I would like to be able to have my friends film with it with not too much trouble. (My friends wouldn't be totally stupid about using a camera) I will be doing follow cams, tripod filming and freehand shots. I have a macbook with 2 gigs ram and a 120gb hard drive and 2ghz intel core 2 duo. I just got final cut express 4.0 and im just learning so thats what i'll be using. Please respond asap for +K thanks so much!

Well for 600 you're not going to be able to get much. You could get a gopro, but if you actually wanna use a real camera, a hv30 would be best and about 500-600 bucks.

dude honestly not trying to single you out but this question gets asked very much. search the info on google if need be. you can probably find comparisons very easily. I know asking NS is always helpful but this question is one that gets asked often.

Yeah ive been trying but I figured this was the best place to relate to ski filming. Thanks for all the help anyway I'll probably get one of the cheaper high def canon vixias, sound good ?
