i have a friend who had a wood core carbon fiber deck, but he broke it and said that it slide way too fast on rails and ledges

yeah, just imagine tryin to flight an aluminum board around, why do skis and snowboards use a wood core 'well, the good companies, cough salomon is a sucka' same reason skateboards are wook, its got a natural feel to it, some flex, but mostly, natural. aluminum would just be akward as hell

wow your an idiot, i currently have a pair of 1080s and i can feel no fuckin difference between them and wood core skis. unless you have first hand knowledge, or some fuckin engineering degree, it does not make you cool to say salomons and foam cores suck. anyway, you wouldnt be able to slide a aluminum i wouldnt think without an assload of wax, you just get stuck

the foam core in the 1080s wear away after time and they get super flexi so there not so good
