What is the most scared you have ever been in a real life situation?

For me there is a couple but the one that sticks out most in my mind is when I was driving in my car in the snow and started swirving going about 45mph on a suburban road with a brick wall to the left and a forest to the right. I tried hard to correct the cars swirving but I then went sideways drifting to the right watching all the thick-waisted trees that I was barely missing, and the cliche of 'my life flashing before my eyes' happened. Then my car was ditched and had to get it towed out, and I didn't catch my breath or my normal heartbeat for another 4 hours.

i started to swallow water twice when i was young but i dont remeber that too much so i dont think i was very scared.this one time i was camping with the boy scouts(hey, the camping part was fun) and we were on some peoples 'drinking grounds' they threatened to kill us and stuff unless we left. at like 2-3 in the morning, they kept driving by and hoinling their horn and stuff. it wasnt scary but probably moswt scary thing thats happened to me haha.

Ok well this is more like a instant of fear, like just a hugge jolt of surprise and fear, not atmosphere or anything. Well the only time I've ever done any 'drugs' or anything was one time when we decided it was a good idea to snort some ritalin, hahaha. Anyways, it made me really concentrated and so like i was really focused on what someone was sayign to me and what was directly in front of me( we were walking around in the middle of the night, 4 am ish. We had been walking for hours so my body was physically tired but I didn't notice it cause my mind was so awake. But anyways my friend just out of nowhere made a really scary loud noise/scream, something that would jolt you in teh middle of the day without any substances in your body. But anyways, I dont know why but my mind went so crazy for an instant, like my vision went all weird and basically my mind stopped for a second, it was sooooo intense, haha it was just by far the most intense feeling I've ever been through.

Well, I'd say it was about 8 years ago me and my cousin were out exploring and we found this pump station with these giant tubes going up a steep ass hill. There were steps on the tubes so we decided to use those instead of scrambling up the side of the hill. Completely ignoring the US government no trespassing signs we got almost to the top and some dogs started barking, seconds later all hell breaks loose and people start shooting, and shooting, and shooting, I jump off the side of the stairs into the forest I see bullets richoteing off trees by the pipes but by that time I was running as fast as I could away from there, my cousin ran down the stairs. He got away, but thought they'd got me or something, it took a while before we met back up. Needless to say I've avoided that area since then.

hmmmm...driving in the snow when my car starts to skid...and just waiting to hit this car right stopped infront of me, I could see it there the whole time. but i just slid right into it, really scary

i was climbing ove teh summer and iwas just free climbing with out any ropes or stuff and i was wearing my skate shoes wiche suck i slipped. and fell abakc and grabbed with my left hand i was hangin there like stallone on the cover of clif hanger..... it sucked.... bad, i almost shit my slef

propable one of the scariest events was at stowe, guessing to how big the table was and looking down during my apex and seeing the flats already. i landed on my feet but i think im still messed up from it, i couldnt ski for the rest of the weekend and last season i just got over my fear of over shooting again.

in kindergarten when I went on space mountain. I was just barely tall enough to ride and my dad said I could sit with him. So after we wait in line for awhile and we get to the front the lady throws me into a car without my dad and it's not even on the same train as my dad. I cried the whole time and haven't been on space mountain since.

This is a very blurry memory but I remember like a year ago I was out biking at some place. And I remember getting off my bike and walking to just chill out on the little cliff. Looking down and swinging my feet was the happiest moment I had had in awhile. I remember I slipped or something and then just hanging with one hand hanging on to the edge of the cliff. I was so scared that I couldn't feel my body and that is when I felt the 'whole life flash before you' thing. And after like 3 minutes of hanging I finally had the energy to pull myself back up. It may have been a dream or might have not been, I just know I was totally scared.

When I was passing a semi truck another semi was coming the opposite way, and I missed both by about a foot. I didn't really realize until after the near accident, that those gasoline semis would have fucked me up real bad.

i agree that free climbing has got to be the scariest thing ever when you mess up. i used to do it so much, but then i almost fell off this 70 foot cliff because there were some loose rocks. yeah, done with that.

at the begining of may, I camped out with my bud eric (treerider on NS) and a couple other dudes and we got pretty blazed. thought we were seeing shit, hearing shit. we're also on top of a mountain that's on private property and has a 15 ft plateau on top that we were camped out so no large animals are up there. we were getting really scared. and after a couple hours of freaking my shit out. some of our other friends scared us. the end.

I have a few scary momments. we were driving in rush hour. But there was no traffic. So we were all really suprised. we were driving at like 140-160km/h. the driver and the passenger were both talking about how there wasn't any traffic.We came over a rise and there 70ft in front of us was stopped traffic. I screamed out car.. We stopped inches from the car in front.. If I wasn't watching the road we were dead.. p.s. we were all really baked..
Another one that I thought i was gonna die, was when me and a friend hit the two jumps 40ft and the 55ft jump one after the other close. I hadn't hit the 55ft in a while I wanted speed So I followed him closely,but I sortof sketched on the top.. So I bombed and Jumped over my friend and the tranny on the 55ft. I have never had that much air. I poped out on impact and slid for miles,.

when i was 11 or 12 we were out motor boating and i was letting the rope out. well the motorboat driver took off fast and i had the rope in my hand so i dropped it and it tangled around my foot and wrist. jerked me in the water so hard and i remember feeling the prop wash or whatver so hard like a punch. my dad said it was inchs from my head.

^If you try once, it's not that shocking that you'd try it 3 more times. I've tried 3 times at least, more depending on what you'd call 'trying'. It's frustratingly (and surprisingly) hard to die.

I totally agree. when i cut myself, i got so pissed off that it was taking so long, and hurting so much, that i stopped it myself. but then i took pills and thought it would kick in that night when i tried to sleep, so i went downstairs and started to do something, but i passed out from them and got rushed to the ER and had my stomach pumped. so that failed too.

^It actually didn't hurt at all for me. But i've cut myself up pretty bad just on my palm and had it not hurt enough to bother me... when i'm in bad enough shape to do that shit, I just don't care. It's amazing you managed to do something else, keep busy, etc... I don't think I'll ever be able to distract myself. I've never tried taking pills.

when i was in 5th grade and older, my step dad used to hit me. i wouldnt tell my mom about it, cause i didnt think she would believe me. i was getting grounded for running away and all that crap, and when youre in 5th grade, youre not really old enough to realize that IT DOES GET BETTER. unfortunatly for me, that lasted through the 8th grade. the 4 attempts went on over 3 years. I didnt have any friends when i was younger, i was 'socially inapt' and my grades were horrible. i was not happy. and even when i realized that it would all be over by the end of high school at most, i didnt care because that was too long for me.

Totally different for me, all of mine were in grade 12 and first year University. I never saw a counselor about it, but one of my friends did, and I was often bothered by said counselor about it. I don't want to get into what brought it on, though.

^Not likely. If I wanted to talk to someone about it, I'd talk to one of my close friends, as I usually do. I helped her through a bad relatioinship so we talk about things. It's a pretty good stiuation... although she works nights now, so we don't talk as much. Meh.

I was in a situation like that about 4 years ago, just a bunch of shit happened and I was too young to know how to deal with it. I'm one of those people who find it very hard to talk about serious problems of mine, even with close friends, and at that time I was even worse. but luckily my best friend knew me well enough to know that something was wrong, and she kind of forced me to talk about it. I was so pissed off at her at the time, yelled at her and told her to leave me alone, but afterwards I knew she'd basically saved my life. but then again everyone's different, alot of people just get worse if someone tries to force them to talk.

im australian.....and me and my friend decided one day to walk through a suburb in sydney called Redfern (where all the poor aborigines live) at 2 in the morning when we were real drunk, and a bunch of about 15 of them with chains and shit started to walk slowly behind us, calling at as. luckily, a taxi passed us and we hailed it and made our getaway.
people die in Redfern all the time from some drunk aborigine.

I was scuba diving about two years ago when I ran out of air about 40 feet down. I was wearing a heavy weight belt (40 lbs) because I had on my thicker wetsuit and I need that much weight to hold the extra neoprene down. Anyway, I headed for the surface a little too fast and when I got there I was disoriented, but could breathe. I tried to swim towards shore, but with the belt on and all of the equipment, it became really difficult and I went under a few times. The last time I went under, I didn't get a good breath before. I went down, but was too tired to try and get back to the surface. I got that peaceful feeling as I looked at the surface above me. It was really serene. I knew that I didn't want to die, so I dropped my weight belt an all of my equipment there so I could make it to the surface. I probably should have done it sooner, but you just don't think that way when you are in a situation like that. Pretty scary, but insightful at the same time.

a year ago, flying from madrid to boston, i was sitting next to this egyptian dude who was hugging his briefcase during takeoff and then started messing with this box in there that had wires looping out of it. i thought it was fucking bomb, no joke.

so i said, fuck it and started talking to him...it turns out he was just nervous about coming to america, he spoke english really well too. the first part just scared the shit out of me...
