Replying to New to filming.

Ehh...:
As the title mentions I'm new to filming and want to start this year. But have a smaller budget. I realize I'm going to start out with a less then great camera but am willing to work with it. My budget is between 200-300 dollars. Editing software is whatever they have on mac, can't remember it off the top of my head. I'm sure thats a really crappy one to work with but thats all i have available at the time. My computer is super fast, so i will have no problem with that. I'm wanting to do half tripod work and other half moving film. I have no experience in filming whatsoever so any tips on filming. would be IMMENSELY appreciated. I did use the searchbar to find something and came up with nothing on this. So I apologize if it's a repost.

Also i was looking into getting a helmet cam for myself, and was looking at a GoPro camera. Anyone have any experience on these?
