I awoke this morning and got on NS, just like any other morning...I started looking through posts, responding and helping people with helmet choices, website issues, etc. I also found that huiling77 was spamming the crap out of NS with some dumb advert for a website...

I then found the only two mods online and sent them messages regarding the spammer, hoping that they would delete the posts and block the users...

To my surprise and dismay, I never received a message back and one MOD even got offline!

Im not writing this post to hate on MODS, I know they are normal people with things going on in their lives just like every other NSer...All im saying is that it seems we need more...I would be more than happy to help out with modding. I would have gladly deleted the spammers posts and suspended/terminated the spammers account...

Just my two cents...hopefully something gets done about this spammer...

Mods have lives too, they try there best. It was good you PMed one. if you must PM more then one if one goes offline or you don't get a response.

Oh and if there is one person spamming give them the users profile and what they are doing, the mods can delete all their threads with click.

If you get on in the mornings, this happens almost everyday.
Chinese spammers come in and spit Ed Hardy and Gucci ads all over SG, NSG, SD, B/S/T and such.

i've been pming them for the spam stuff too, and usually get a response quickly.

also, the online status isn't instant. You can sign off, and still be displayed as online for a few minutes afterward. so you might have sent a pm to a mod who was already offline, but still shown as online.

This is the same guy that spams like everyday. They just keep making new accounts and advertising for dumb stuff like ed hardy and gucci from china in really fractured english.

Yea sometimes mods ignore pm's, it bothers me too but whatever.

Maybe it's a sign we need another mod or two?

Sometimes a mod gets 10 PMs about the same issue, so if they don't respond it's because we don't want to respond to 10 different PMs. Not responding about a particular issue pertaining to you, well that's no good and I hope it doesn't happen. Can only speak for myself tho.

I PM'ed a mod in the morning when Trolling_Master put porn up in the picture section and got a response that they deleted the pictures like 3 minutes later.

new idea: i think every member should have mandatory mod service for at least a week. not only would it cut down on the shit but it would bring a whole new perceptive as to why things get done the way they do. im 100% serious

this site needs incentive to get better. like give out easier mod positions to truly legit members, and take them away if they ONCE abuse their power and or ban somebody for no reason, etc.
