Atomic patent??

I'm close to pulling the trigger on these. I'm 6'3 200 looking for a park and pow jibbing ski. I have the same question.

I had some last year and although I enjoyed them (184 length). Even though they are fatter, the centre mount symmetrical design, makes them ironically one dimensional. Rip on hard pack and in the park, but they are soft.

I am 5'11 150lbs, anyone over 180lbs would be too big. I tried the 179 revival and they were pretty similar, terrible in crud/chop and similar snow. I would try the 184 revival  (actually even longer) next time.

Skis I like 179 obsethed, 183 bentchetler, 185 Blog, Salomon czar, 4frnt msp, vct, vct turbo.

Didnt really like the new kung fulas either, too soft in the tail.

Im 5'9" 145 lbs. and would get the 175 patents. Its ok if there playful, right now i have 177 volkl walls that are a stiffer bomb proof park ski. Ive never really skied a super playful ski so it might be a good change of pace. Im also looking at the 173 Line Blends, but they are more of a all-mountain/pow ski than a park ski (rockered and a lil fatter). Or older anthems if i could get my hands on a pair...

i skied this year's patents for about three months last season and loved them. they kill it in the park (especially in the slushy spring-park). for pow, they're alright. as you're probably going to mount them in true center as they are 100% symmetrical you might find skiing pow pow with that much tail a bit awkward at first, but once you get used to it it's not that bad really. the softness only comes in handy in soft snow as well, it's rather easy to get them float. oh and landing switch on bc jumps is also magic with all the tail.

maybe the S3 i havent looked into them at all this year guessing they stayed the same.  but I used my roomates one day and they were deffanatly fun, wouldnt think twice about hitting anything from a booter to some fresh snow on them.  Good one ski quiver, wouldnt wanna hit anything super deep or super big but everything other than that id be comforable with.

patents are a ton of fun. i skied on them on and off with the punx for the past two seasons, and on softer days, theyre killer. softer than the punx for sure, but with the bigger platform they make landings just about as easy. the stepdown sidewall makes them super solid underfoot, but softens up the tip and tail for butters, presses, and all around tomfoolery. and they come in a 184 which is bitchin and still light as hell. i skied my fair share of urban on one of my pairs and handled everything like a champion.
