i skied this year's patents for about three months last season and loved them. they kill it in the park (especially in the slushy spring-park). for pow, they're alright. as you're probably going to mount them in true center as they are 100% symmetrical you might find skiing pow pow with that much tail a bit awkward at first, but once you get used to it it's not that bad really. the softness only comes in handy in soft snow as well, it's rather easy to get them float. oh and landing switch on bc jumps is also magic with all the tail.
have you considered line blends? they have a small rocker...might be more suitable for powder imho.
