The ElliptiGO is part bicycle, part elliptical. The workout machine transportation device was designed by an Ironman who had been badly injured in an accident. The ElliptiGO rides like an elliptical, but moves like a bicycle. The ElliptiGO has eight gears and operates much like a bicycle. An ElliptiGO could be ridden just about anywhere you would ride a bicycle.

What the ElliptiGO design looks like
An "outdoor elliptical bicycle," the ElliptiGO takes the chain drive of an elliptical machine and uses it to drive a set of bicycle tires. The machine is made with an adjustable stride length and steering column so lots of people can ride it. In fact, those between 5 foot and 6 foot 6 can ride the machine. You will find eight gears on the bicycle. Also, anyone up to 250 pounds could be held by the carbon-fiber frame.
How to work out with an ElliptiGO
It isn't as good to just bicycle or run alone. The ElliptiGO is supposedly better than both. The eliptiGO goes about 12 to 18 miles per hour. This is at a moderate pace of course. There isn't really as much of an impact on your hips and knees with the ElliptiGO as there would be running, although it is more than a bicycle. You are standing instead of sitting on the ElliptiGO. This causes more calories to be burned. The full leverage of legs and hips is behind you when your body is always moving. This means, the ElliptiGO makes it easier to go up hills than it would be on a bicycle.
Is it worth purchasing the
ElliptiGO?
The ElliptiGO isn't really cheap. In fact, it costs about $2,200. This is the exact same cost as a high-end fire bicycle. Remember that is high end though. Are you thinking about investment? The ElliptiGO is part cross trainer and part transportation that is self-propelled. With bicycle commuting, many of the time ruining clothes is a concern, although the ElliptiGO allows you to stand so it won't be a problem. The ElliptiGO could be a transportation system worth it since it is one-tenth the price of a car.
